Chapter 7 - The Assault on Sector 4

By 5:30 in the morning, a fleet of five black armored SUVs tore through the mountain roads of Pennsylvania under a heavy fog.

Rain lashed against the windshields as the convoy carved through the winding pine forests of the Poconos, heading toward an abandoned industrial logging warehouse tucked deep in Sector 4.

Alessandro sat in the front passenger seat of the lead vehicle, holding a tactical tablet that monitored the live feeds from three reconnaissance drones flying overhead.

Beside him in the back seat, Viktor was reviewing the assault plan with eight elite tactical operatives dressed in heavy body armor.

Mia had been left safely at the Long Island mansion under the care of Alessandro’s personal physician and a guard detail of thirty men. She had refused to let go of Alessandro’s suit jacket until he promised he would bring her father back before sunrise.

“Recon drone shows six armed guards on the perimeter,” Viktor reported, tapping the screen. “Two snipers on the catwalks, four patrolling the ground level. All wearing unmarked tactical gear. They’re Valenti mercenaries.”

“No survivors among the guards,” Alessandro ordered coldly, checking the magazine of his customized assault rifle. “They’ve held my brother in a cage for three days. Show them no quarter.”

“Understood, Don Alessandro,” Viktor nodded grimly.

The convoy turned off the main road, killing their headlights as they rolled quietly onto the dirt track leading to Warehouse 12.

The building was a dilapidated wooden and corrugated metal structure surrounded by towering pine trees and rusted machinery. A single yellow light shone above the heavy sliding doors.

“Thirty seconds,” Viktor called out over the tactical comms. “Teams two and three cover the rear exits. Breaching in three... two... one...”
