Chapter 10 - A Vow Across Time

Six months later, the private cliffside gardens of the Sterling estate were bathed in the golden hues of an autumn sunset.

The ceremony was small, intimate, and attended only by close friends, loyal staff, and trusted allies who had stood by them through the darkest storms. White roses and climbing ivy adorned the stone arches overlooking the valley.

Aria stood before the altar wearing a breathtaking, custom-designed ivory gown that flowed gracefully behind her in the evening breeze. On a velvet cushion held by a smiling attendant sat baby Leo, now a thriving, cheerful infant wearing a tiny matching bow tie.

And standing at the end of the aisle, waiting for her, was Dante.

He wore a classic black tuxedo, the heavy tattoos on his hands partially visible against his cuffs, his rugged features softened by a rare, radiant smile.

As Aria walked down the aisle on the arm of Thomas, the loyal family butler, Dante’s eyes never left her face. To him, she had always been the light that guided him out of the darkest corners of his own life—the one soul worth every war he had ever fought.

When she reached him, Dante took her hands in his, his grip warm, steady, and eternal.

"I spent ten years searching for a ghost," Dante whispered softly, his voice trembling slightly with emotion as the pastor began to speak. "And instead, I found my entire world."

Aria smiled, tears of pure happiness shimmering in her eyes.

"You don't have to search anymore, Dante," she whispered back, leaning close as he slipped a diamond band onto her finger. "I'm right here. And I'm never leaving."

With the golden sun sinking below the horizon, painting the sky in brilliant shades of amber and rose, they exchanged their vows—not just as two survivors of a violent past, but as partners bound by a love that had conquered betrayal, time, and death itself.

The storm was long gone. Their forever had finally begun.
