Chapter 10 - The Dawn of the Baron Legacy

One year later.

The summer sun shone brightly over the gardens of the Baron Estate in Beacon Hill.

White silk ribbons fluttered in the soft breeze, decorating dozens of wooden chairs arranged on the manicured lawn. The air was filled with the scent of blooming jasmine, fresh roses, and the joyous sound of string quartets playing classical melodies.

In the bridal room upstairs, Addie stood before the window in a breathtaking, custom-designed lace wedding dress with a long cathedral train. Her face radiated pure, unblemished beauty, her hazel eyes sparkling with profound joy.

Charlotte stood beside her as the maid of honor, looking stunning in a lavender silk dress, holding a bouquet of white lilies.

"It’s time, sis," Charlotte smiled warmly, kissing Addie's cheek.

Down the aisle, surrounded by three hundred guests—including community leaders, former waitstaff from Valente, and reformed members of the family organization—stood Elias Baron.

He stood taller than ever, looking remarkably handsome in a black tuxedo, his eyes fixed entirely on the glass doors at the top of the garden stairs.

The music shifted to a slow, majestic processional.

The doors opened.

Addie stepped out onto the sunlit terrace, taking her first steps down the aisle toward him.

As she reached his side, Elias took her hand, his thumb gently caressing her knuckles.

"You take my breath away, Mrs. Baron," he whispered, his gray eyes shining with unshed tears.

"I love you, Elias," she whispered back.

The officiant stepped forward, his voice echoing over the quiet garden.

"We are gathered here today to unite two lives bound not by convenience, but by truth, courage, and an unbreakable love that overcame the deepest dark."

They exchanged their vows—promises written not in contracts or ledgers, but in the quiet sacrifices they had made for each other.

"I give you this ring," Elias said, sliding the platinum band onto her finger, "as a promise that as long as I draw breath, you will never walk alone, you will never be unprotected, and you will always be loved."

"I give you this ring," Addie replied, sliding her band onto his finger, "as a promise that my heart, my truth, and my life belong to you, now and forever."

"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife!"

Elias wrapped his arms around Addie, pulling her close against his chest, and kissed her deeply beneath the blue summer sky.

The crowd erupted into joyous cheers and applause, standing up to honor the couple who had rewritten the story of Boston.

As they walked back up the aisle hand-in-hand, Addie looked up at the man who had caught her when she fell, who had closed the room to protect her bruises, and who had rebuilt his entire life just to deserve her love.

The ledger was finally closed—and their forever had just begun.
