Chapter 10 - The Garden of Lilies

Six months later.
The private gardens of the Moretti estate were bathed in the golden light of late afternoon.
The air was filled with the scent of white lilies and fresh green grass.
In the center of the garden, beside a marble fountain, sat a long wooden table set for a quiet family dinner.
Luca, Enzo, and the senior members of the syndicate sat around the table, laughing and enjoying glasses of vintage wine, their dark suits set aside in favor of relaxed casual clothes.
Emma was playing near the fountain with a small golden retriever puppy, her cheerful laughter ringing out across the quiet estate.
I stood on the stone terrace overlooking the lawn, wearing a comfortable linen shirt, my arm wrapped gently around Sophia’s waist.
She wore a beautiful white summer dress, her long hair blowing softly in the gentle spring breeze. She leaned her head against my shoulder, her hand resting over mine.
“Look at them,” Sophia whispered softly, watching Emma play with the puppy. “A year ago, I thought my life was over. I thought we were alone in the dark.”
I pressed a soft kiss against her hair, holding her closer.
“You will never be alone again, my love,” I promised softly. “This empire was built on shadows for a long time... but you and Emma brought the light back.”
Emma ran up the terrace steps, her face flushed with excitement, holding a single white lily she had picked from the garden.
“Daddy! Mommy! Look!” she giggled, holding the flower up to us.
Alessandro smiled—a deep, genuine smile that reached his eyes—and reached down, lifting his daughter into his arms while holding his wife close to his side.

The crumpled flower invoice had exposed a traitor and threatened an empire.
But in its place, a true home had bloomed—built on honor, protected by strength, and rooted in endless love.
